Chris has a Master’s degree from St. Mary’s University in Human Development, a certificate from the Gestalt Institute of the Twin Cities, a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University, and training in EMDR. Chris has been working for over twenty years offering psychotherapy to individuals, couples and families. Her warm and caring nature has complimented her previous work experience at an adolescent outreach program, within a church counseling program addressing spiritual and sexual abuse issues, with traumatic injury and recovery at the Regions Hospital Burn Center in St. Paul MN, and emotional healing and recovery at Andersen-McClelland & Associates and the Midwest Center for Trauma and Emotional Healing. Chris’s area’s of specialization include working with individuals who have physical and emotional trauma experiences, as well as the families and couples who have felt the impact of traumatic incidences within their relationships. As part of her experience working at the Burn Center, Chris has extensive practice working with cosmetic scarring and related isolation and social re-entry issues. |
