Sarah is a licensed psychologist who enjoys collaborating with her clients to identify strengths, areas for growth, and how to move forward in ways that bring fullness to their lives. Sarah has worked in the mental health field for 10 years during which she worked with adults with severe mental illness and as an in-home support for individuals struggling with mental health. She currently counsels students at Northwestern College and has been in private practice since 2006. Sarah has experience in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and relational issues. She is also trained in EMDR and Sensorimotor therapy, both of which are neuro-physical-based modalities. While striving to provide a safe and warm environment, Sarah helps her clients approach themselves with creativity, curiosity, and non-judgment which are key components for successful therapy. She believes clients’ lives are stories that continue to unfold and explores how family background, past experiences, current circumstances, cultures, and neurology all impacting a client’s current experience. During her work with a client, Sarah also helps to develop concrete tools, strategies, and resources that support growth. Clients who work with Sarah experience an increase in confidence, feel better about themselves, have more satisfying relationships, and gain freedom from hindrances and experiences of the past. Sarah enjoys photography, travel, camping, and gardening. She also loves to draw and read non- fiction. She is married with two children.
